Classic Finds & Design



For fourteen years, this monthly feature - published in Seattle Magazine - explored the relationship between heritage and home. Each installment presented fine art and objects sourced and styled by Stevens, photographed on location in some of the region’s most notable architectural settings and landscapes.

John Stevens maintains a commitment to the stewardship of the arts, design history, and the institutions that preserve cultural heritage.​

The Rainier Club

Co-chairs the Travel & Reciprocity Committee, overseeing relationships with more than 150 global partner clubs. Recent additions include The Tuxedo Club (New York) and the Royal Industrieele Groote Club (Amsterdam).


Bard College

Serves on the Alumni/ae Board of Governors and has endowed the Jean M. French Travel Award in Art History, supporting international study and research.


Hayden Lake Country Club

Past President of the Board. Continues to advise on the redesign and aesthetic direction of key interior spaces.


Seattle Art Museum

Past President of the Decorative Arts & Paintings Council. Organized private collection programs and supported acquisitions and exhibitions.


Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS (DIFFA)

Past Chairman. Created and led major design-driven fundraising events in Seattle, including DIFFA GLAM and Party at the Mansion.


Northwest Society of Interior Designers (NWSID)

Served as an awards judge for the 17th Annual NWSID Design Gala at the Seattle Design Center.


Seattle Interior Show (Inaugural)

First Place Exhibitor Award for "Regents House at Masins" gallery launch, Washington State Convention & Trade Center.
